ZFS
ZFS is an advanced, next generation file system.
- It combines the features of a filesystem and a volume manager in one place.
- It is a 128-bit file system so it provides astronomically large limits to FileSystem size (256 quadrillion Zettabytes) and individual file size (16 exbibytes).
It provides:
- RAID.
- Snapshots.
- Integrity checking, including protection against bit rot.
- Automatic repair.
- Lots more…
