Ubiquiti - Access Points - Migrate Access Point From One Controller to Another
Option 1
- Backup the configs of the old controller.
- Restore the configs to the new controller.
Option 2
- SSH into the AP with username & password of the previous controller.
- Reset the AP with this command:
syswrapper.sh restore-default
- Reconnect using SSH to the AP with default credentials ubnt/ubnt.
- Tell the AP the IP of the new controller:
mca-cli shell set-inform http://controller.ip.here:8080/inform
- Logon to new controller and verify that the AP has been adopted.
NOTE: The SSH session will automatically exit once the device has been adopted by the controller.
