PFSense - Packages - Upgrade Packages

Take a Backup

Navigate to Diagnostics → Backup & Restore.

Click Download configuration as XML.

Click OK.

Navigate to System → Package Manager.

NOTE: The YELLOW names indicate that there are updates available for these packages.

Read any information about the newly available package version by clicking the information icon.

Perform the upgrade of the package by clicking the update icon.

Click Confirm to upgrade the package.

The update should be installed.

Check the Dashboard to see if everything looks okay. In this case Unbound is not running.

Click the Start icon to run it.

Navigate to System → Package Manager.

NOTE: The tick mark indicates the package is up to date.
