PFSense - Network - Automatic Hostnames
Navigate to Services → DNS Resolver → General Settings.
In General DNS Resolver Options:
- DHCP Registration - Register DHCP leases in the DNS Resolver: Checked.
NOTE: This will cause the Resolver to reload and flush its resolution cache whenever a DHCP lease is issued.
- This could put a high load on the DNS server, which should be fine for small setups.
- Static DHCP - Register DHCP static mappings: Checked.
NOTE: This is to ensure that statically mapped DHCP clients are registered.
- This will not break pfBlockerNG - Unbound Python Mode.
