====== Chkrootkit ======

**Chkrootkit** (like Rootkit Hunter) is a tool used to detect rootkits in Linux.  Chkrootkit examines certain elements of the target system and determines whether they have been tampered with.

Rootkits are set of programs and hacks designed to take control of a target machine by using known security flaws.
