Use LVM if you have single data disk.

**NOTE:** To use GUI
* Navigate to **DataCenter -> Storage -> Add -> LVM**.

===== To add as a directory =====
After formatting mount the some directory:
mkdir /backup
mount /dev/sdb1 /backup
vim /etc/fstab
and add:
/dev/sdb1/ /backup ext4 defaults 0 0
**NOTE:** To use GUI:
* Navigate to **Datacenter -> Storage -> Add -> Directory**.
